Our Background
Northallerton Musical Theatre Company was established in 1954 as "Northallerton Amatuer Operatic Society". As a reflection of the type of shows that the Company now perform the name was changed to Northallerton Musical Theatre Company (NMTC) although we are very proud of our history and the roots from those early days. Our shows bring together the best of musical theatre, we are a group for the theatre community of Northallerton and surrounding areas. Our membership is varied in age and experience and we are always looking for and welcome new members. We pride ourselves on delivering a unique and memorable experience with every show. We are passionate about providing a platform for aspiring performers, and our shows have been consistently praised for their high quality and unique take on popular musicals. Join us at our next show and see what makes us one of the most beloved theatre companies in Northallerton.
Our two main performances each year are at the Forum, Bullamoor Road Northallerton.
We would be nothing without our talented team of performers, crew members and behind the scenes gurus who make sure that every performance goes off without a hitch. It’s truly been a labour of love, and we’re so excited to have it come to life.

NEW MEMBERS WELCOME
We welcome new members into the Company at the start of the rehearsal period for each show. Our next intake of members will therefore be for "Sister Act", where rehearsals will start at the beginning of June. It is never too soon to get in touch though so please contact our secretary on
